Adopted or Rejected Land Use Ordinances

A-Engrossed Ordinance No. 762 proposes to amend Washington County Community Development Code (CDC) Section 340 Exclusive Farm Use District (EFU) and Section 344 Agriculture and Forest District (AF-20) to add farm stands as a Type II land use review. DC Section 201 Development Permit is also amended to allow for the direct sale of farm crops in certain districts outside the Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) when a building permit is not required.

A-Engrossed Ordinance No. 760 amends the 2020 Transportation Plan and the Sunset West Community Plan to remove Area of Special Concern #11 in the Elmonica Subarea of the community plan.

Ordinance No. 758 proposes proposes to amend the Community Development Code and Bethany Community Plan relating to housekeeping and general update amendments.

A-Engrossed Ordinance No. 757 proposes to extend the initial preliminary approval period for Type II and Type III land use decisions from two (2) years to four (4) years.

A-Engrossed Ordinance No. 756 proposes to add Section 217, 'Director's' Interpretation', to the Community Development Code.

Ordinance No. 755 proposes to amend the Community Development Code element of the Comprehensive Plan relating to Nonconforming Use Standards.

A-Engrossed Ordinance No. 754 proposes to amend the Community Development Code element of the Comprehensive Plan relating to Special Use Standards for Public Buildings.

Ordinance No. 753 proposes to amend proposes to amend the Washington County - Banks Urban Planning Area Agreement, the Rural/Natural Resource Plan and the Comprehensive Framework Plan for the Urban Area elements of the Comprehensive Plan to reflect changes to the City of Banks' Urban Growth Boundary.

Ordinance No. 752 proposes to amend the Tektronix Development Agreement that was originally adopted by Ordinance No. 530 and amended by Ordinance No. 647, as well as providing a termination date for the agreement.

A-Engrossed Ordinance No. 750 proposes to amend the Washington County Transportation Plan to incorporate the proposed 124th Extension.

Ordinance No. 749 proposes to amend the Washington County Transportation Plan to incorporate elements of the U.S. 26 - Brookwood Parkway/Helvetia Interchange Area Management Plan.

A-Engrossed Ordinance No. 745 proposes to amend the Washington County Comprehensive Plan relating to the implementation of the North Bethany Subarea Plan of the Bethany Community Plan.

A-Engrossed Ordinance No. 744 proposes to amend the Washington County Comprehensive Plan relating to the implementation of the North Bethany Subarea Plan of the Bethany Community Plan.

Ordinance No. 742 proposes to amend the Comprehensive Framework Plan for the Urban Area and the Community Development Code relating to housekeeping and general update amendments.

A-Engrossed Ordinance No. 740 reflects proposed modifications to the county's Rural and Urban Reserves map. These amendments are in response to the Land Conservation and Development Commission's oral remand of the county's original Reserves ordinance (Ordinance No. 733) effective on July 15, 2010.

Ordinance No. 735 proposes to amend Sections 106 and 414 of the Community Development Code relating to Signs. The proposed amendments are made to be consistent with Article I, Section 8 of the Oregon Constitution that prohibits regulation of signs based on content.

Ordinance No. 734 proposes to grant a one-year extension of all preliminary land use approvals and all final approvals of subdivisions, partitions, and property line adjustments that are set to expire between the effective date of this ordinance and one year from that date. The purpose of this ordinance is to address the unprecedented downturn in the real estate market and the credit crisis.

Ordinance No. 733 proposes to amend the Rural/Natural Resource Plan Element of the Comprehensive Plan to adopt urban reserves and designate rural reserves pursuant to ORS 195.137-145 and OAR 660 Division 27. This ordinance adds a new Plan Policy (Policy 29) to the Rural/Natural Resource Plan that includes implementing strategies for urban and rural reserves.
