Land Use & Transportation

We build and maintain a great transportation system and plan and protect uses of the land. Land Use & Transportation employees work in coordination with our agency and government partners to provide transportation, planning, permitting and road maintenance services.

Services

Most of our services are available remotely - online, by phone or via U.S. Mail - 24 hours/day, seven days a week.

In-person Services: Appointments recommended at the Public Services Building; appointments required at the Walnut Street Center. See Office Locations and Business Hours.

Transportation Development Tax rates to increase July 1, 2025

The Transportation Development Tax (TDT) is imposed on new development to pay for transportation needs created by development. Annual TDT rate adjustments are based on a five-year rolling composite construction cost index and are capped at 10% annual.
