The National Weather Service is predicting significant rainfall starting tonight [Thursday, 11/12] through Saturday in Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon. Heavy rains reduce driver's visibility and can result in flooding.

Community leaders and staff will gather at the south side of Tualatin-Sherwood Road and SW 124th Avenue at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, to celebrate the groundbreaking of the upcoming roadway and pipeline projects.

Moderate to heavy rain will accompany area trick-or-treaters in northwest Oregon this Halloween weekend. The rain is expected to start Friday morning (Oct. 30) and continue through Sunday (Nov. 1).

The public is invited to comment on the top twenty URMD Safety Improvement candidates being considered for funding in FY 2016-17. Comments received by October 16 will be reviewed by the selection committee.

County crews will replace two culverts just west of Tanner Creek Road. The road will be closed to all road users from Sept. 8 through October 12. The Hagg Lake Trail will be closed at the work site from Sept. 17 through October 12.

Crews from Washington County Land Use & Transportation (LUT) worked diligently to make sure the crossing was replaced as quickly and safely as possible to ensure motorists, bicyclists and others reached their destinations with minimal delay, said Andrew Singelakis, LUT director.
