Verboort Road will be temporarily closed east of OR 47 from March 7 through mid-July for construction of a roundabout at the OR 47 and Verboort-Purdin Road intersection. Dates are subject to change.

Despite adverse weather conditions and holiday scheduling, Washington County Land Use & Transportation crews have been able to complete major road repairs on time.

Repairs to the bridge over Butternut Creek on SW 229th Avenue bridge are scheduled for Monday through Thursday [Dec. 28-31], providing weather conditions remain favorable, resulting in daytime road closures between Tualatin Valley Highway and Rosedale Road.

Beef Bend Road emergency repairs underway - Media Release

A sink hole developed on Beef Bend Road on Tuesday, Dec. 22, resulting in closure of the road 1.7 miles west of Hwy 99W. Travelers must use an alternate route.

Repairs to the 229th Avenue bridge and replacement of the culvert on Timber Road could begin with little or no advance public notice, as Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation crews may need to take immediate advantage of any favorable weather conditions.

Starting at 8 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 12) people looking to dispose of sandbags can bring them to the parking lot adjacent to the Washington County Land Use & Transportation Walnut Street Center at 1400 SW Walnut St., Hillsboro.

A culvert on Timber Road was washed out on Monday, Dec. 7, resulting in closure of the road 2 miles north of OR 6/Wilson River Highway.

Flooding caused by heavy rains is resulting in road closures and restrictions throughout Washington County. Those living in areas prone to flooding and landslides should be prepared to take action conditions worsen. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution.
