Temporary repairs planned for Timber RoadUPDATED: 12/11/2015
Temporary repairs on Timber Road have started. The goal is to have repairs complete in early January. Repairs will be done by County and contracted crews, an arrangement proven to be expedient and cost-effective. How quickly the road can be reopened will depend on water levels falling.

A culvert on Timber Road was washed out by flooding rains on Monday, Dec. 7, resulting in the closure of the road, 1/2 mile south of Strassel Road, 2 miles north of OR 6/Wilson River Highway, near the unincorporated area of Timber.
All travelers, including bicyclists and pedestrians, will need to access Timber via U.S. 26 or Strassel Road. Travelers heading south should use OR 6/Wilson River Highway. Detour signs will be installed as soon as possible to help direct travelers around the closure area.
No one was on the road when the culvert washed out. Additional information will be available after options for replacement have been assessed.
