An ordinance establishing a $30 annual vehicle registration fee (VRF) to offset some of the local maintenance funding shortfall and to improve transportation safety was adopted during tonight’s [Sept. 20] Washington County Board of Commissioners meeting.

The fall Development Forum, hosted by Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation, will be held 8:30-10 a.m. Sept. 29 in the cafeteria of the Public Services Building, 155 N. 1st Ave., Hillsboro.

New weight limits on two County bridges are now in effect. The restrictions will remain in place until the bridges are repaired or replaced.
