A portion of Walnut Street, between 112th and 114th avenues, will be closed from July 25-August 15 for replacement of a culvert as part of the Walnut Street Widening Project.

All travelers should use alternate routes. The designated detour includes 121st Avenue, North Dakota Streets, 115th Avenue, Tigard Street and Tiedeman Avenue.

The Walnut Street Improvement project will widen Walnut Street between 116th and Tiedeman avenues to include a center turn lane, bike lanes and sidewalks, drainage enhancements and a traffic signal at the north intersection of Walnut Street and 135th Avenue. In addition, the city of Tigard is extending the water line between 114th Terrace and Tiedeman Avenue.

The $6.9 million project is funded by MSTIP 3d. It is expected to be completed in spring 2017.
