Washington County is opening the Public Inquiry Center to field questions about the H1N1 flu.

Upon the recommendation of the Washington County Department of Health & Human Services, all schools in the Forest Grove School District will be closed for Monday and Tuesday, May 4-5, due to the concern over the spread of H1N1 Virus (Swine Flu).

Washington County's first probable cases of H1N1 Virus were identified late Friday following testing by the Oregon State Public Health Laboratory. The two cases involve a student at Cornelius Elementary School and an unrelated adult elsewhere in Washington County. Both individuals are at home and recovering.

Washington County's Department of Land Use & Transportation will be placing the final lift of asphalt on Brookwood from Witch Hazel to Lone Oak and on Alexander st.
