The Cornelius Pass Road project, a partnership between Intel Corp., the City of Hillsboro, Washington County and ODOT, has been named Transportation Project of the Year by the Oregon Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA).

Eclipse could cause cosmic traffic jam. An estimated 1 million people are expected to hit Oregon roads to view the Aug. 21 eclipse. ODOT and other transportation-related agencies are making preparations to handle the traffic volume. All motorists should anticipate significantly increased traffic on Monday, Aug. 21, once the eclipse is over and travelers are heading home.

Basalt Creek Parkway, a new 0.7-mile road between Grahams Ferry and Tonquin roads, opens to traffic at 6 a.m. Monday (August 14).
