An open house for the NE 69th Avenue (formerly 227th Avenue) bridge replacement project will be 5-7 p.m. Oct. 18 at Orenco Elementary School, 7050 NW Birch St.
The open house, sponsored by Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation (LUT), provides the public with the opportunity to learn about design options under consideration for replacement of the bridge on NE 69th Avenue between Quatama and Fir streets. Representatives from LUT and the city of Hillsboro will be available to answer questions. No formal presentation is planned; stop in any time during open house hours.
The 69th Avenue bridge was weight limited in September 2016, with traffic reduced to one lane. The $3.5 million project is funded through the Washington County Road Fund and the city of Hillsboro.
