Washington County's Cornelius Pass Road project has been named Transportation Project of the year by the Oregon Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA).

An open house for the NE 69th Avenue (formerly 227th Avenue) bridge replacement project will be 5-7 p.m. Oct. 18 at Orenco Elementary School, 7030 NW Birch Street.

Eight pedestrian crossings on 170th and 185th avenues and Baseline Road have been selected for survey and design work for future improvements through the Arterial Pedestrian Crossing Analyses project.

Basalt Creek Parkway, a new 0.7-mile road between Grahams Ferry and Tonquin roads, opens to traffic at 6 a.m. Monday (August 14).

10th Avenue will be closed Aug. 14-Dec. 12 between Holladay and Adair streets for road widening and safety improvements

A Grand Opening Celebration for the David Hill Road Extension/Roundabout project including a chance to bike, hike, roll and stroll the new roadway - will be from 10 a.m.-noon Friday, Aug. 4, at the location.

A Meet the Contractor open house for the Springville Road (185th to 178th avenues) project will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at Portland Community College Rock Creek Campus, 17705 NW Springville Road.
