SW 175th Avenue, between SW Kemmer Road and SW Scholls Ferry Road, is scheduled to be closed to through traffic July 5-Aug. 3 by Brian Clopton Excavating for construction of road improvements.

Replacement of the Timber Road bridge over Gales Creek has begun. Timber Road will be reduced to one lane across the bridge June 26 through completion in June 2018.

The public is invited to propose candidates for small-scale road improvements through Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation. To be eligible, proposed improvements must address safety or connectivity issues on a County road.

Morgan Road will be temporarily closed 8 p.m. Friday, July 7, through 5 a.m., Monday, July 10, at Tonquin Road.

The Washington County Urban Road Maintenance District (URMD) published its FY 2015-2016 Annual Report.

Walker Road, between 174th and Schendel avenues, will have lane closures 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. today through Friday, May 24-26.

Meek and Scotch Church roads are now open at Jackson School Road effective 3 p.m. Friday, May 12.

Spring brings more than flowers. The number of road signs increases significantly in the warmer months. If placed illegally, these signs can block driver visibility, limit pedestrian access and distract drivers.

New weight limits on nine County bridges - eight are newly limited and one updated - were approved by the Washington County Board of Commissioners during its regular meeting Tuesday (May 2).  The restrictions will remain in place until the bridges are repaired or replaced.

May 21-27 was proclaimed National Public Works Week by the Washington County Board of Commissioners during the May 2 regular meeting.

Washington County Transportation Development Tax (TDT) rates will increase by 2.17 percent, effective July 1.

The 10th Avenue widening project, between Baseline and Holladay streets, is delayed up to three months because the construction company is unable to fulfill its contract.

Construction on the west side of 113th Avenue, between Anderson Street and Rainmont Boulevard, began today (April 24) for construction of a pedestrian pathway.

A 5-foot wide paved pathway will be constructed along the west side of 90th Avenue to connect to an existing school crossing on Locust

The spring Development Forum, hosted by Washington County Department of Land Use &Transportation, will be held 8:30-10 a.m. April 27 at the Washington Street Conference Center, 225 S. First Avenue, Hillsboro, OR 97124

An open house to provide feedback on specific land use and transportation improvements in the Aloha Tomorrow Study area is planned for 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 18 at Aloha High School.

UPDATE: Meek Road remains closed at Jackson School Road due to weather-related delays. Dry days are needed to pave the connection between Meek Road and the new roundabout. Meek is expected to reopen May 1.

The public is being asked to review and comment on the Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation (LUT) Draft 2017-18 Road Maintenance Program.

UPDATE: The Morgan Road closure has been delayed until May to allow the contractor to complete preliminary work. The eventual closure involve raising the grade of Morgan Road to meet the new Tonquin Road alignment, part of the 124th Avenue Project.

Traffic delays may occur between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the Murray Boulevard/Bowerman Drive intersection.
