UPDATE: The signal shutdown has been rescheduled to WEDNESDAY, MARCH 29, due to availability of flagging crews.
Original release from 03/24/17:
Traffic delays may occur between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the Murray Boulevard/Bowerman Drive intersection.
The traffic signal will be shut down, and traffic will be controlled by flaggers while the signal is repaired. Travelers should expect delays, avoid the intersection or use alternate transportation during the repairs.
Late Wednesday, March 22, a utility contractor accidentally drilled though a traffic signal cable. Temporary repairs were made to the damaged cable, and it will function normally until permanent repairs are made Tuesday.
Washington County is committed to planning, building and maintaining a great transportation system, ensuring the safety of all roadway users, and operating the County roadway system in a cost-effective and environmentally responsible manner.
