The public is invited to attend Washington County’s annual Energy Preparedness Fair on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. The event includes information about renewable energy, energy conservation, and how to prepare for energy emergencies. Anyone who attends is eligible to win one of several door prizes being donated by the various vendors.

The Office of Consolidated Emergency Management has been reorganized to form the Washington County Emergency Management Cooperative. A new intergovernmental agreement between the County, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, and the Cities of Beaverton, Hillsboro and Tigard, shifts some administrative responsibilities and makes provision for additional local jurisdictions to participate. The new agreement began on July 1, 2013.
