David Bergquist, a former Deputy at the Sheriff’s Office, reached a plea agreement as part of an extensive investigation into alleged misconduct that<br />began in April 2015. The plea included his resignation from the Sheriff’s Office and a<br />conviction for harassment.

Washington County Deputies serving the City of Cornelius responded to a reported vehicle crash on South Palmetto Way. Deputies investigating the crash contacted one of the parties who fought with them and was arrested.
