The Sheriff’s Office Civil Unit is responsible for booking, serving, and enforcing court orders and documents issued by the courts, such as small claim notices, writs of garnishment, restraining orders, and foreclosures of real or personal property.
Trained staff ensure all court orders are complete before serving the documents to the person named on the paper or a responsible party, when applicable by law. See below for more information on document service, if you have further questions, please direct them to our Civil Unit at 503-846-2537.
