Traffic delays may occur between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the Murray Boulevard/Bowerman Drive intersection.

Nearly $1 million from the federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) is funding lighting, reflective traffic signal backplates and other safety improvements to increase visibility on four Washington County roadways and intersections.

A Meet the Contractor open house for the 158th Avenue Project will be from 5-7 p.m. March 14 at Kelso Covenant Church, 15900 SW Regatta Lane.

Record rain fall continues to delay construction of a roundabout at Jackson School, Meek and Scotch Church roads, requiring postponement of the final pouring concrete and paving. The closure of Meek and Scotch Church roads has been extended through May 1.

Beginning Monday (Feb. 27), 10th Avenue in Cornelius will be closed between Holladay and Adair streets for road widening safety improvements.

Nine Washington County roads have been selected to receive federal funds for safety improvements to help reduce crashes.

Traffic on the Gales Creek Road bridge will be shifted from the north lane to the south lane Friday afternoon for demolition and construction of the north half of the bridge.

Meek and Scotch Church road closures extended through March 1.

Construction on Fischer Road, between SW 131st Avenue and Highway 99W, will begin Dec. 5.

An open house about improvements planned for SW 198th Avenue will be 5-7 p.m. Nov. 17 at Edwards Aloha Community Center, 4375 SW Edwards Place.
