Rainy weather has returned to Washington County. Showers are predicted for the weekend and into next week.

Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation (LUT) and JLA Public Involvement have earned a 2018 Achievement in Community Engagement (ACE) award recognizing outstanding public engagement in connection with the Washington County Transportation Futures Study (WCTFS).

The public is invited to learn more about traffic impacts, road construction, pipelines and sewer pipe installations in the Roy Rogers Road area at an open house from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Mountainside High School, 12500 SW 175th Ave.

Kemmer Road, between 175th and 176th avenues, will be closed Sept. 17-Oct. 16 for road construction.

Clark Hill Road, south of Tile Flat Road, will close from Sept. 7-Oct. 12, for bridge replacement.

A Washington County employee was presented with the 2017-18 Permit Technician of the Year by the Oregon Building Officials Association (OBOA) during the County Board of Commissioners meeting this morning (Aug. 21).

Nighttime paving work will continue on 158th Avenue, between Walker Road and the Merlo Avenue MAX station, from 7 p.m.-7 a.m. Aug. 21-25.

174th Avenue, between Bronson Road and Santiam Drive, will be closed Aug. 27-Sept. 30 for a culvert replacement.

West Shore Drive, between Scoggins Creek Recreation Area and Scott Hill Road, will close Aug. 27 for bridge railing repairs.

Turk Road will be closed to all traffic at Sell Road for bridge repairs from Aug. 20-31.
