Sheriff’s Deputies arrest a man for stealing beer then striking a person who attempted to stop him.

On May 9, at the Valley Community Presbyterian Church, members of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Negotiations Team (TNT) will present this free informative workshop. Topics include; Preparing for the Unthinkable in the Workplace, Signs of Imminent Violence and Active Threats.

On April 26, 2013, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was selected by the Oregon DUII Multi-Disciplinary Training Task Force as the County Agency-of-the-Year for 2012 for DUII enforcement. Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason McLaughlin, was honored as the 2012 DUII Enforcement Deputy-of-the-Year.

Today at 2:49 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a pipe bomb found in a field in rural Washington County. The Portland Bomb Squad responded and detonated the device.

Sheriff’s Detectives recovered four stolen vehicles and arrested three people. The arrests were made in a rural forested area in western Washington County where the stolen vehicles were recovered.
