On Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 9:49 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a house fire in the 18000 block of SW Division St.

On Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 4:59 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the city of North Plains received a report of a vehicle stolen in the 30200 block of NW Stewart Lane.

On Friday, August 6, 2021, at 12:57 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported assault in the 18300 block of NW West Union Road in the community of Rock Creek.

On Tuesday, August 3, 2021, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies contacted a husband and wife who said they thought their neighbor was trying to kill their two small dogs with rat poison.

Sheriff's Office detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit arrested 27-year-old Darby Martin of Cornelius for rape in the first degree, sex abuse in the first degree, delivery of a controlled substance, and encouraging child sex abuse.

On Monday, July 19, 2021, at 10:08 a.m., a Hillsboro Police officer was dispatched to a harassment call near the 1200 block of NE 51st Avenue in Hillsboro.
