The Sheriff's Office Civil, Alarm Permits, and Concealed Handgun License Units are back open effective Thursday, July 27. 

Civil, CHL, and Alarm Permits will temporarily close from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.

Investigators Seek Additional Victims in Sexual Assault Case

In July, the Washington County Sheriff's Office partnered with the FBI and multiple local agencies to target traffickers and connect survivors with advocacy services.

Deputy Chuck Dozé was released from the hospital to continue his recovery and rehabilitation at home. After spending 13 days at the hospital, Deputy Dozé returned home with his family by his side and a law enforcement escort.

The family of Deputy Dozé and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) want to provide the community with an update on Deputy Dozé’s injuries and current condition.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) deputy injured in a shooting in Tualatin on July 26, 2023, is Civil Deputy Charles Dozé, a 10-year veteran of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at approximately 9:34 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies were serving a civil eviction at Forest Rim Apartments in Tualatin, Oregon when a subject opened fire.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a vehicle in Commonwealth Lake. When deputies arrived, they observed a vehicle partially submerged in the lake.

July 2023 has been a particularly dangerous month for drivers in Washington County. Since the beginning of the month, deputies have responded to three fatal crashes.
