Joint statement from the Law Enforcement Council of Washington County

On Sunday, January 22, 2023, at 10:20 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an armed robbery at the Rock Creek 185 Apartments at 18700 NW Rock Creek Circle.

On Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 2:42 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies serving the city of Cornelius responded to a shooting at The Jungle Room Bar at 1034 Baseline Street.

On Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., detectives with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit arrested 36-year-old David L. Moore II of Beaverton for multiple sex crimes.

The Sheriff’s Office Recruitment Team is hosting a Hiring Workshop on THURSDAY, JANUARY 12, from 6 PM – 8 PM at our Public Safety Training Center in Hillsboro (600 SW Walnut Street). This workshop is open to anyone interested in a law enforcement career.

On Thursday, December 29, 2022, the driver of a Ford Mustang ran a stop sign and crashed into a Toyota Prius. Deputies developed suspicion that the driver of the Mustang was under the influence of alcohol.

On December 15, 2022, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and multiple other city agency partners conducted an online sex trafficking mission. Investigators posted online ads on known sex trafficking websites.

On Saturday, October 29, 2022, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Toby’s Sports Pub in the community of Metzger to a sex abuse call that occurred the previous night.
