Members of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, spearheaded by our Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team with support from the U.S. Marshals Service and Oregon State Police, recently combined their efforts during Operation Whiskers.

On Friday, July 7, 2023, 32-year-old Meagan Bruce was found at the Washington County Jail. Deputies immediately attempted life-saving efforts, assisted by paramedics who arrived a short time later, but those efforts were ultimately unsuccessful.

On Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 3:00 a.m., a Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputy observed a silver 2022 Ford Bronco driving well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle, which was stolen, crashed at the Merlo MAX Station with four juveniles inside.
