A sheriff’s deputy is being treated at a local hospital after being bitten by a suspect while attempting to take him into custody.

A man died after crashing into several light posts in the city of Cornelius. Deputies believe speed contributed to this crash.

A man accidentally shot and killed himself while duck hunting. The man was trying to pull his shotgun toward himself and mistakenly fired the gun, hitting himself in the under arm.

A Beaverton women was arrested for arson after intentionally setting fire to her own condominium. Another occupant was forced to jump from a second story window to escape.

A Beaverton teen was arrested for attempted murder. Detectives are asking for the public’s help locating his brother, Cory Bedford, who is wanted for the same crime.

WCSO deputies assigned to patrol and to the Traffic Safety Unit collaborated on a non-traditional enforcement mission in Aloha. Deputies focused on educating the public on Oregon's hands-free law, which prohibits the use of an electronic device both while driving and also while stopped in traffic.

A natural gas leak displaced approximately 150 residents. NW Natural crews have stopped the leak and residents have now been able to return home.
