Due to dangerous conditions, Washington County activated severe weather shelters 2/28/2023 for anyone seeking shelter through the winter weather event. Shelters will remain open until inclement weather ends.

On Monday, February 27, 2023, deputies assigned to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Court Security Unit brought 28-year-old Edi Villalobos from the Washington County Jail to the Washington County courthouse for his scheduled trial.

Motorists are no longer required to have traction devices on tires when traveling in Washington County snow zones.

On Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 9:27 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported hit and run at NW Glencoe Road and NW Zion Church Road in unincorporated Washington County.
