On October 10, 2023, deputies from the Washington County Sheriff's Office were involved in a vehicle pursuit with a 2016 Kia Sorento. One of the occupants in the vehicle fired a gun at one of the deputies during the pursuit.

On October 13 and 14, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office arrested eight people while running a mission focused on a home which has generated more than 60 calls for service in 2023, often related to suspected drug activity.
