During enhanced Super Bowl weekend patrols, deputies arrested seven individuals for impaired driving. Deputies would like to remind the public that impaired driving is a one hundred percent preventable offense, and to always plan a sober ride home.

Ms. Short was located early Thursday morning at a warming shelter by Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office deputies. She was uninjured and has been reunited with her family. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office wishes to thank the public, news media, and local community partners for their assistance.

On Tuesday, February 5, 2019, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies serving the community of Aloha arrested a man for stealing a package from a neighbor living in the same apartment complex.

On January 10, 2019, detectives with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Unit began investigating suspected financial elder abuse of an 88-year-old Beaverton woman. The report was received through the Department of Human Services’ statewide abuse reporting hotline from a local credit union.

On Sunday, February 3, 2019, at 2:02 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a burglary in progress at a residence in the 3000 block of SW 331st Ave in unincorporated Hillsboro. A homeowner confronted a male suspect as he was leaving the property. When confronted by the homeowner, the suspect turned over the stolen guns and fled on foot.

On Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at 11:29 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a robbery at Columbia Bank, located at 4805 Southwest 77th Avenue in the Raleigh Hills community.

On Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at 12:30 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 3500 block of Southwest Hillsboro Highway in unincorporated Washington County.

On Monday, January 21, 2019, at 1:42 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Southwest 209th Court in Aloha. Deputies were told that William Callaway, who was wanted for dragging a North Plains Police officer while fleeing a traffic stop, was at the residence. While responding, deputies were told that Mr. Callaway had stolen a family member’s wallet and ran out of the house.

On Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 7:43 a.m., a Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop a black 2000 Honda Accord for numerous traffic violations in the 5000 block of Southwest Hillsboro Highway in unincorporated Washington County.

The two deceased individuals from Friday’s investigation in Aloha are being identified as Lisa Marie Gellings, 49, and David Jaymes Gellings, 23. Based on the investigation, detectives determined David fatally stabbed his mother Lisa inside their home and then shot and killed himself.
