The Urban Road Maintenance District Advisory Committee recommended seven Safety Improvement projects for funding in 2016-17.

The public is invited to comment on the top twenty URMD Safety Improvement candidates being considered for funding in FY 2016-17. Comments received by October 16 will be reviewed by the selection committee.

County crews will replace two culverts just west of Tanner Creek Road. The road will be closed to all road users from Sept. 8 through October 12. The Hagg Lake Trail will be closed at the work site from Sept. 17 through October 12.

Tualatin-Sherwood Road will be closed for up to 72 hours starting at 7 p.m. Friday evening, August 21. The inconvenient but necessary road closure is required for replacement of the railroad crossing. Your patience is appreciated.

New proposals for small-scale road improvements received by July 15 will be considered in the next round of project selection. To be eligible, proposals must address a safety or connectivity issue on a county road.

The public is invited to review and comment on the draft 2015-16 Road Maintenance Program.

Chip seals are planned on several rural roads this summer.
