In recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Washington County District Attorney’s Office and WCSO invites employees, the public and media to join Washington County Child Abuse Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) members at a special event happening this Friday, April 6 at 10 a.m. on the east side steps of the Washington County Courthouse

During enhanced patrols in the month of March, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 82 impaired drivers - an average of over two and a half DUII arrests each day.

Deputies are looking for additional victims who may have bought fake diamonds, gems and gold jewelry.

Deputies arrested two football players from Pacific University after they robbed a man off-campus.

An anonymous community member reported that the stabbing suspect from Fred Meyer in Cornelius, Samuel Lund, was at a residence in Hillsboro. Hillsboro Police responded and took him into custody.

Michael Troxell pled guilty to killing Abdul Jamil Kamawal in February 2016. He was sentenced to serve 20 years in prison.

Deputies arrested one man for driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII) after injuring one person following a crash in Aloha. A second person was also arrested for DUII after he drove through the crash scene.
