Washington County K9 Trials

The Washington County K9 Trials is a free family event where law enforcement K9 teams compete for first place. The event provides a great opportunity for the public to learn about the K9 units protecting our communities. Join us on May 17, 2025!

The Washington County K9 Trials competition is a free family event where law enforcement K9 teams compete for first place!

In partnership with the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Sheriff's Office Foundation(Link is external), this event provides a great opportunity for the public to connect with local public safety agencies and learn about the talented K9 units protecting our communities.

The overall first-place designation is awarded based on a point system for each event.

Competition events include:

  • Area Search
  • Agility Course
  • Suspect Apprehension
  • Handler Protection
  • Fastest Dog

In addition to the entertaining K9 competitions, spectators can enjoy a community and vendor fair and a meet-and-greet with the K9s after the competition.

2025 Washington County K9 Trials

Date: Saturday, May 17, 2025
Time: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: Hillsboro Stadium(Link is external) - 4450 NE Century Blvd, Hillsboro, OR 97124

Event Timeline

  • 10 a.m. - Community and Vendor Fair
  • 11 a.m. - K9 competition begins
  • Meet-and-greet following competition

Additional Information

  • Food and drinks are available for purchase.
  • Please leave pets at home; however, service animals are welcome.
  • Please be aware that parking is limited this year due to construction. Consider carpooling as an option.
