Deputies investigated an early morning crash between a pickup truck and a herd of elk.

During enhanced holiday patrols, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 43 impaired drivers. Deputies would like to remind the public that impaired driving is a one hundred percent preventable offense, and to always plan a sober ride.

A 55-year-old Hillsboro woman died after crashing head-on into another vehicle on Southwest River Road. The other driver was transported to a local hospital with apparent minor injuries.

Deputies are asking for the public’s assistance locating a 68-year-old man who has been staying in the Portland area.

An impaired driver from a fatal crash in July on Highway 99W was located in California and arrested for manslaughter in the first degree. The investigation found her blood alcohol content at the time of the crash had been over three times the legal limit.

An impaired driver crashed into a house in the Cedar Hills community early this morning. Two passengers were transported to a local hospital with injuries.

A felon wanted from two different incidents lead deputies on a vehicle pursuit in Cornelius. He was later located hiding on a stranger’s roof.

Two people were arrested after stealing a Sheriff’s Office bait package from a home in Aloha. A dozen pieces of mail belonging to multiple neighbors were later located nearby.

Deputies conducted proactive enhanced patrols at a known nuisance house in Aloha, resulting in 18 arrests made since November 25.

A southern Oregon man was arrested for sexually abusing two teenagers in Washington County. One of the teenagers is developmentally disabled. Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are asking for the public’s help.
