The Washington County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for community members to serve on the Enhanced Sheriff's Patrol District (ESPD) Advisory Committee.

On Monday, February 22, 2021, Sgt. Jeremy Braun returned to full duty at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office after being shot by an armed suspect in 2019.

On Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 7:37 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of an injured pedestrian near SW Clark Hill Rd.

On Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at 10:31 p.m., a Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputy was flagged down by a man near the 2900 block of E Baseline St.

On Monday, February 22, 2021, officers from the Portland Police Bureau located Linsey Gail Perry, the woman suspected of assaulting a Hillsboro police officer on February 6.

On February 8th, 2021, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a missing woman in the Aloha area.

Effective February 1, 2021, the North Plains City Council welcomes Sergeant James Haxton as the City's new Police Chief in partnership with the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

On January 22, 2021, at 12:49 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a welfare check in the 16100 block of NW Canterwood Way in Bethany. A woman called 911 to report a man at the home had been killed by a family member.

On January 4, 2021, the Cornelius City Council, in partnership with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, named Lieutenant Bob Ray the new Chief of Police for the city.
