In the reporting period between 4:00 p.m. on August 29, 2014, through 2:00 a.m. on September 2, 2014, Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested 12 impaired drivers who were driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a combination of both.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office sponsored a multi-agency training event in partnership with Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue (TVF&R) and Metro West Ambulance.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office reminds drivers that school will be<br />back in session beginning September 2nd.

Three additional family members were recovered from Hagg Lake today. The apparent causes of death were drowning. Detectives are searching for the family of a child that apparently drowned in Henry Hagg Lake last evening.

A boat caught fire and destroyed part of the boat dock at Henry Hagg Lake. There was significant damage, fortunately there were no injuries.

Deputies arrest two DUII drivers. One driver crashed, shearing a power pole and another drove through the crash scene and was stopped by the deputies as they were investigating the crash.

Detectives are asking the public to continue providing tips as the homicide investigation continues.  Any piece of information, regardless how small, could be critical to assist investigators solve this crime.  Detectives are currently processing hundreds of pieces of evidence and information and continue to reach out for more.

Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Vernonia Man on Drug and Weapons Charges

Detectives are searching for information related to a homicide that occurred yesterday evening.  Sheriff’s Deputies were contacted by an apartment resident who reported that a female came to her and told her that she had been stabbed.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office learned of possible criminal conduct concerning Brett Robinson, a civilian Jail Services Technician (JST) employed by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office since January of 2013.  It was alleged that Ms. Robinson had engaged in criminal activity related to her official duties while working in the Washington County Jail.
