On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 1:23 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a traffic crash on SW Farmington Road near SW 190th Avenue. Deputies arrived to find three vehicles involved with one man deceased.

In December 2024, detectives with the Washington County Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes Unit began investigating 47-year-old Michael Wormington of Banks for allegations of sexual abuse and other concerning disclosures made by juvenile victims.

Detectives with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit are leading the investigation into the deaths of a mother and three children found yesterday, April 8, at about 3:00 p.m. in Cornelius.

On Friday, April 4, 2025, at 10:08 p.m., deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a motorcycle crash in the area of SW River Road near SW Farmington Road, south of Hillsboro. One man died in the crash.

On April 4, 2025, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office collaborated with the Beaverton Police Department and loss prevention staff from Target and Home Depot on an organized retail theft mission. During the mission, 16 people were arrested.

A man was arrested for a 2023 fatal shooting.
