Detectives with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit are leading the investigation into the deaths of a mother and three children found yesterday, April 8, at about 3:00 p.m. in Cornelius.

On Friday, April 4, 2025, at 10:08 p.m., deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a motorcycle crash in the area of SW River Road near SW Farmington Road, south of Hillsboro. One man died in the crash.

On April 4, 2025, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office collaborated with the Beaverton Police Department and loss prevention staff from Target and Home Depot on an organized retail theft mission. During the mission, 16 people were arrested.

A man was arrested for a 2023 fatal shooting.

In February 2025, detectives with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit began investigating a sexual assault case. Over the following weeks, detectives interviewed multiple women who said they had been raped or sexually assaulted.

On March 2, 2025, deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) received a report of domestic violence in the Bethany community at an apartment near NW West Union Rd. and NW Bethany Blvd.

Early on Saturday morning, March 22, 2025, at around 7:40 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance involving a weapon on the 18400 block of NW Chemeketa Lane.

On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 1:02 a.m., a Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputy patrolling in the community of Aloha near SW 185th Avenue and SW Johnson saw the driver of a 2011 silver Hyundai Elantra take off at a high rate of speed.

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 8:51 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an armed robbery called in from the Godfather’s Pizza located at 17691 SW Farmington Road in the community of Aloha.
