On Friday, January 24, 2025, at 12:13 a.m., Oregon State Police notified Washington County law enforcement about a white Infiniti sedan that had eluded them in Tillamook County. A Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputy located the vehicle on Highway 26 near NW Timber Road just forty-five minutes later.
When the driver saw the deputy, they turned the vehicle’s lights off and accelerated rapidly in another attempt to elude law enforcement. The deputy followed the vehicle for seven miles while other deputies set up spike strips. The driver stopped the vehicle just before the spike strips, and the deputies used their patrol vehicles to block it.
The driver was identified as Bieatris Saakian, 20, of Vancouver, Washington. Saakian was arrested and lodged at the Washington County Jail on Reckless Driving and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. Additional criminal charges may be forthcoming.
On Monday, January 27, 2025, at 10:16 p.m., the Oregon State Police notified the Washington County Sheriff’s Office that a trooper was trying to stop a vehicle traveling 108 miles per hour on Highway 26 near NW Dersham Road. When the vehicle eventually exited the highway, deputies and the trooper were able to slow down and stop the car on NW Milne Road.
The driver, identified as Dallas Hill, 26, of Vancouver, Washington, was uncooperative and physically resisted being taken into custody. Hill was arrested and lodged at the Washington County Jail for Attempt to Elude Police, Reckless Driving, Resisting Arrest, and Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. As part of the investigation, Hill later provided a breath sample at the jail and had a blood alcohol content of .18, which was more than twice the legal limit.
