On Sunday, December 8, 2024, at about 6:30 p.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted Oregon State Police in locating a reckless driver heading Eastbound on Highway 6 out of Tillamook County.
The Oregon State Police had tried twice to stop a dark-colored BMW traveling approximately 120 mph on Highway 6, but it eluded them. Deputies waited for the vehicle near Gales Creek and successfully set spike strips.
Despite driving on deflated tires, the driver continued Eastbound onto Highway 26, where spikes were used again. The vehicle finally stopped near Jackson School Road, where the driver, 21-year-old Adrian Henriquez of Hillsboro, was taken into custody. Henriquez will face charges in both Washington and Tillamook Counties.
A few hours later, at about 10:45 p.m., deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash into a house near the 15000 block of NW Nightshade Drive in Portland. The driver, 19-year-old Jesus Solorzano-Lopez, lost control of his 2006 Infiniti G35 and crashed into a residence. During the investigation, Lopez was arrested for DUII, reckless driving, and criminal mischief.
On Monday morning, at about 8:20 a.m., deputies were dispatched to check on a woman slumped over the steering wheel of a running vehicle. When deputies arrived, they observed drug paraphernalia near the driver. The woman woke up but would not cooperate with the deputies. She fled the scene at a high rate of speed Eastbound on SW Alexander Street and then crashed near the intersection of SW 170th Avenue and SW Alexander Street, narrowly missing a pedestrian.
The driver ran from the vehicle but was found by a tracking K9 from the Hillsboro Police Department. The driver, 30-year-old Keva Dubuque of Washington State, was arrested for attempting to elude, reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person, DUII, possession of a controlled substance, hit and run, and criminal mischief.
