Two Men Arrested in Fire Evacuation Zones
During the past week, deputies have been providing around-the-clock extra patrols in the areas affected by both fires in Washington County: the Powerline Fire and the Chehalem Mountain-Bald Peak Fire. Even as some evacuation levels are being lowered, deputies will continue to patrol those areas to help ensure community safety and to make sure emergency crews can reach the fire zones. All of Henry Hagg Lake and its recreation areas remain closed since the lake is being used as an aerial water source for the Chehalem Mountain-Bald Peak Fire.
