The National Weather Service is expecting snowfall starting this afternoon (Wednesday) and continuing into Thursday evening, possibly Friday morning. Accumulations will vary depending on elevation, but it is expected that the valley floor will see accumulations this evening. This snowfall will impact roadways creating slick driving conditions.

Our road crews are now in 24 hour mode. Higher elevations in the northwestern areas of the county already have accumulations of 2-4 inches of snow. Crews are currently responding to these outlying areas. Additional crews and equipment are on standby and prepared for snowy conditions in lower elevations as well.

Information on road conditions will be continually updated at www.wc-roads.com or by calling 503-846-ROAD (503-846-7623). Information about state highways within Washington County or elsewhere in Oregon can be found at www.tripcheck.com or by calling 5-1-1.
