Washington County Department of Housing Services is providing crucial services and housing for veterans including units set aside for veterans experiencing homelessness at The Viewfinder, a Regional Affordable Housing Bond project, and with Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing Program administration.

The Board of County Commissioners have repealed an outdated ordinance limiting tobacco access to minors and enacted new rules which prohibit the sale of tobacco to persons under 21 years of age and prohibit retail sales of all flavored tobacco and synthetic nicotine products in Washington County regardless of age.

La Junta de Comisionados del Condado ha derogado una ordenanza obsoleta que limita el acceso al tabaco a menores y ha promulgado nuevas reglas que prohíben la venta de tabaco a personas menores de 21 años de edad y prohíben la venta al por menor de todo el tabaco saborizado y también los productos de nicotina sintética en el condado de Washington, independientemente de su edad.
