We will improve Walker Road between 173rd and 185th avenues with five lanes, two travel lanes in each direction and continuous center turn lane, with bike lanes and sidewalks.
Other improvements include:
- Replacing the culvert at Willow Creek
- Raise grade of road at Willow Creek crossing by 8-10 feet to improve sight distance and rideability
- Building a traffic signal at 178th Avenue/Cambray Street
- Upgrading storm drainage
- Improving street lighting
- Installing some sound walls
- Installing landscaping
This is the third phase of capacity improvements to Walker Road.
Construction start (expected): Summer 2025
Construction finish (expected): December 2027

2/10/2025: Early tree removal is planned for February.
We are expect to advertise for construction contractor bids in March or April for construction to start this summer.
