Updated information is available regarding the proposed Clover Court homes near SW 170th and Bany Road.

Work to complete an environmental review of the proposed Clover Court homes near SW 170th and Bany Road continues this month with some contractor activity on the site. The Board of Commissioners has not yet scheduled a meeting to decide on a land transfer.

Washington County and the Luke-Dorf nonprofit organization convened a community meeting last month about a proposed six-home development meant to help address chronic homelessness.

Washington County has been awarded $3.4 million in Continuum of Care Program grant funds, under the new Homeless Emergency Assistance and Rapid Transition to Housing (HEARTH) Act. As of July 1, 2014, Oregon law prohibits landlords from refusing to rent to someone based upon their use of a Section 8 voucher as a source of income.

The Washington County Department of Housing Services is hosting a free event for landlords, property owners, and property managers to discuss the value of inspecting rental property on May 23, 2012 at the Shirley Huffman Auditorium in the Washington County Public Services Building, 155 N. 1st Avenue, Hillsboro, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.
