Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle that was driven dangerously. The driver refused to stop. Deputies were able to successfully arrest the driver after she drove 27 miles while missing a tire.

Motorists along Highway 8 through Aloha are seeing billboards promoting Sheriff’s Office safety messages. The billboards are provided as a generous donation by a local business, Total Outdoor. They are located at Highway 8 at 214th and 174th Avenues.

Deputies responded to an injury crash on River Road near SW Farmington Road. When deputies arrived, the driver 48-year-old Lois Lepschat of Cornelius had sustained life threatening injuries. Alcohol was a factor in this crash.

Deputies responded to an injury crash on Tonquin Road. The driver 49-year-old Gail Feldman of Wilsonville crashed into a power pole and it is believed that she was driving under the influence.

Washington County Deputies captured a man who is believed to have attempted a burglary. The homeowner spooked him off and the suspect was captured after a manhunt.

A Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop a stolen vehicle and the driver refused to yield to him. The vehicle eventually ran into the ditch and the driver was arrested.

Westside Interagency Narcotics (WIN) Detectives were assisted by additional agencies as they served warrants on 15 residences in the metro area.

A man with a gun demanded treatment at St. Vincent Hospital. The man was taken into custody. No one was injured.

Detectives believe that Steven Douglas Rockett, 44, of Forest Grove, has engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with numerous underage victims for many years. Detectives were able to gain enough information and evidence from the recent reported activity to arrest Mr. Rockett on August 23, 2013.

Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop a speeding vehicle where the driver struck another vehicle sending one person to the hospital. The driver fled and was later tracked down. He was arrested for DUII and other charges.
