On Sunday, December 9, 2018, at 6:40 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an alarm activation from a bait package at a residence near Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway and Southwest 170th Avenue in Aloha.

On Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 7:23 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported armed robbery at the Aloha Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant at SW TV Highway at SW 187th Avenue.

On Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies serving the City of Cornelius responded to a head-on crash at Tualatin Valley Highway and NW 341 Avenue. Deputies arrested Samuel Castro Muro, 38 of Forest Grove, and was charged with second-degree manslaughter, four counts of third-degree assault, five counts of reckless endangering, reckless driving, and second-degree criminal mischief.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting high visibility enforcement patrols looking for impaired drivers between the dates of December 1, 2018 and January 1, 2019. The enhanced patrols are being done in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Oregon Department of Transportation, and Oregon State Sheriff's Association.

On Friday, November, 2018, at 12:19 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to investigate an emailed threat made towards Stoller Middle School, which is located at 14141 Northwest Laidlaw Road in the Bethany community.

Over the past several days, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies have taken multiple reports of animal abuse in and around the King Village Mobile Home Park at 12450 SW Fischer Road near Tigard and King City.

<br />On November 14, 2018, at 5:23 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue (TVF&R) responded to a fire at an apartment at the Westridge Meadows apartments at 18476 NW Chemeketa Lane in Bethany.

On Saturday, November 18, the City of Cornelius, in partnership with Centro Cultural de Washington County and the Washington County Sheriff's Office, will provide a holiday dinner to members of the community during the Fifth Annual Cornelius Community Thanksgiving Dinner. This hot meal will be offered at no cost and is expected to feed over 400 people.

On Thursday, November 15, deputies responded to a robbery at Wells Fargo Bank, located at 13485 Northwest Cornell Road in the Cedar Mill community. The location is inside of a Safeway store.

54-year-old Russell Fernandez was arrested on two counts of first-degree animal neglect, four counts of second-degree animal neglect, and possession of dog fighting paraphernalia.

On Thursday, November 8, four local law enforcement agencies from across the Portland metro area conducted a joint mission to proactively combat human trafficking and child luring in the region, resulting in 23 individuals being charged with commercial sexual solicitation or child luring crimes.

42-year-old Daniel Levitt of Portland was booked into the Washington County Jail on charges of mail theft, first-degree criminal mischief, attempt to elude, possession of burglary tools, third-degree theft, and a parole board felony warrant. He is being held without bail.

The man who was reported as missing endangered on Wednesday, John Jackson, was located around 10 p.m. yesterday evening by a family member. He was found to be in good health. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office wishes to thank the public and media for their assistance.

Deputies would like to notify the community of a report of Halloween candy that was reportedly laced with methamphetamine in Aloha.

Deputies arrested a Hillsboro man after fleeing from a vehicle crash. A Beaverton K-9 team tracked and located the suspect.

On October 15, a concerned family member contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office regarding a relative who had not been seen for about a month. Detectives were assigned to investigate and are asking for the public’s help to locate her.

During a traffic stop, K-9 Taz alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. A subsequent search resulted in the seizure of 27 pounds of methamphetamine and $6,700 in cash.

Between October 21 and October 25, deputies have responded to at least ten different incidents in which mailboxes were tampered with or broken into and mail was stolen from inside.
