Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies, in partnership with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and local law enforcement agencies will be on the roads providing extra patrol to enhance safety for this Memorial Day Holiday travel period.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 3435 SW 182nd Avenue in the community of Aloha. Deputies are still searching for the robber.

Deputies are asking the public for information regarding the thefts of two flags stolen from a WWII memorial site. A U.S. flag and the flag of the 10th Mountain Division were stolen off a flag pole.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a missing 8-year-old autistic child. With the assistance of K9 Maverick, deputies located the missing boy.

This evening, Adrian Brown was located safe in Vancouver, Washington. The Vancouver Police Department was alerted to her presence at a convenience store where they took her into custody without incident. She will be returned to her guardian in Oregon at a later date.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office hosted a drug turn-in event on April 26, 2014 at the Farmington Road Bales Thriftway. During the four hour event, the Sheriff’s Office received about 320 pounds of drugs for destruction. This event is in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Agency held every April and October.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office receives top Driving under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII) awards.

Since midnight yesterday Sheriff’s deputies have arrested 11 DUII drivers, including two related crashes. One of the crashes was a head-on collision on SW Pacific Highway (Hwy. 99W) near King City. Three people went to the hospital as a result of that crash.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are searching for a frequent runaway juvenile female that is possibly engaging in dangerous activities including being victimized by human trafficking.

April 22, 2014--Washington County Sheriff’s Office Detectives received information that Steven Zellmer was in Pittsburgh headed to a bus terminal. The Sheriff’s Office relayed the current information to the Pittsburgh Philadelphia Police Department who promptly took Steven into protective custody. Steven was in good physical condition and will be returned to his parents for his continued care.

April 18, 2014—The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and local police agencies have received complaints from citizens concerning a warrant payment scam. The subject would ask for a payoff to avoid arresting the person that supposedly had the warrant.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help to locate Steven Zellmer, 16, from Beaverton.

Washington County Deputies responded to a fatal motorcycle crash on SW Scholls Sherwood Road near SW Lebeau Road.

Washington County Deputies pursued a stolen vehicle driven by a 15-year-old juvenile. The pursuit ended after the suspect crashed.

The man that was killed on the train tracks has been identified as James Yelton, 42, from Tigard.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a crash where a train struck a man that was on the railroad tracks. He did not survive his injuries.

A pickup truck with three children inside rolled down the street and crashed into a house. The children were not hurt and no one was home at the time of the crash.

The Good Samaritan that assisted Corporal Crecelius has been identified. The unknown man that assisted Corporal Crecelius pull Mark VanVleck from the burning Jeep has been identified as Nickolas Kingston, 22, originally from Forest Grove and currently enlisted in the US Navy in Oak Harbor Washington.
