Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to 18560 SW Tualatin Valley Highway in the community of Aloha concerning a man that crashed his taxi cab through the front of the Chevron Extra Mile store.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office would like to help keep children safe this Halloween. On average, children are twice more likely to be hit by a car on Halloween than on any other day of the year. The Sheriff’s Office would like to provide some helpful safety tips and a free safety light.

The woman involved in the confrontation with Sheriff’s Deputies has been identified as Phyllis Ilene Jepsen, 55, from Aloha. She was pronounced deceased at the hospital and her next of kin have been notified.

On September 27, 2015, a concerned family member contacted a Sheriff’s Deputy, serving the City of Cornelius, to report Matthew Pugh, 25, from Cornelius had been missing since the day before.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Stinkstone Lumber Mill where a train struck and killed a man.

Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the 24-hour Subway sandwich restaurant at 10725 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway in the community of Raleigh Hills, concerning a robbery.  Upon arrival, deputies learned there were two men who robbed the 22 year-old male clerk. 

The Sheriff's Office in partnership with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is accepting unwanted medications at two locations on Saturday, September 26, 2015.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a helicopter crash near the community of Verboort.  The helicopter crashed just after takeoff and the pilot received only minor injuries.  There were no other occupants of the helicopter.

Washington County Deputies arrested a man who burglarized a home while the resident was present. The man was subdued by the resident until deputies arrived. He was arrested and charged with multiple crimes.
