On Monday, January 21, 2019, at 1:42 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Southwest 209th Court in Aloha. Deputies were told that William Callaway, who was wanted for dragging a North Plains Police officer while fleeing a traffic stop, was at the residence. While responding, deputies were told that Mr. Callaway had stolen a family member’s wallet and ran out of the house.

On Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 7:43 a.m., a Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop a black 2000 Honda Accord for numerous traffic violations in the 5000 block of Southwest Hillsboro Highway in unincorporated Washington County.

The two deceased individuals from Friday’s investigation in Aloha are being identified as Lisa Marie Gellings, 49, and David Jaymes Gellings, 23. Based on the investigation, detectives determined David fatally stabbed his mother Lisa inside their home and then shot and killed himself.

On Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 11:09 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a robbery at Chase Bank at 4732 NW  Bethany Blvd

Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit detectives continue to investigate 28-year-old Jorge Serrano of Woodburn. Since his arrest on December 7, 2018, detectives have identified and interviewed six additional victims, including underage females who live out of state.

On Monday, December 24, 2018, at 9:13 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a robbery at Columbia Bank, located at 4805 Southwest 77th Avenue in the Raleigh Hills community.

On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at 6:02 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies serving the City of Cornelius responded to a robbery at U.S. Bank, located at 1735 North Adair Street.

On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at 1:16 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of a blue 2000 Chevrolet Blazer driving erratically on Highway 26 westbound. One of the two callers witnessed the vehicle strike the highway guardrail near the Oregon Zoo exit and continue on.

On Friday, January 4, 2019, at 4:59 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an injury crash between a pedestrian and a vehicle near SW 185th Avenue and SW Farmington Road in Aloha.

On Friday, January 4, 2018, at 2:33 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of car prowlers in the 6000 block of Northwest Calypso Terrace in Bethany. A community member reported that three people were trying to enter a vehicle and later seen running away.

On Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at 12:06 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies serving the City of Cornelius responded to a report of someone recklessly shooting a firearm.

On Monday, December 24, 2018, at 5:04 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to assist Gaston Fire at the Riverside Apartments at 98 2nd Street in Gaston.

On Saturday, December 22, 2018, 2018, at 10:40 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to an injury crash involving five vehicles at SW 170th Avenue and SW Farmington Road in Aloha.

On Thursday, December 20, 2018, at 9:58 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a criminal mischief in progress near Southwest Hall Boulevard and Southwest Hemlock Street in the Metzger neighborhood.

On Thursday, December 20, 2018, at 2:28 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an alarm activation from a bait package deployed by detectives at a residence in the area of West Baseline Road and Southwest 170th Avenue in Aloha.

On Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 9:34 p.m., a Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputy was at the Sheriff’s Office Bethany Precinct when he was approached by a man. The man told the deputy that an unknown person stabbed him in the back while he was sitting outside the Bethany Starbucks.

Five people were arrested following drug distribution, animal neglect and child endangerment investigation in Aloha.

On December 17, 2018, at 6:41 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a missing juvenile in the 13500 block of Southwest Jenkins Road in the Cedar Hills community.

Two drivers were injured after a head-on crash on Cornelius Pass Road. Alcohol impairment is believed to be a factor.
