On Monday, July 22, 2019, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Manuel Naim Lujan-Rivera, 21, of St. Paul, on charges related to Saturday’s hit and run rollover crash that injured a father and three children.

On Sunday, July 21, 2019, at 5:55 a.m., one of the bait packages was stolen and deputies began receiving real-time tracking updates.  Deputies followed the signal to a house in the 20700 block of SW Rosa Road in Aloha.

On Saturday, July 20, 2019, just before 1:30 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of an assault with a weapon on a TriMet bus near the 18900 block of SW Tualatin Valley Highway in Aloha.  The TriMet bus driver reported that one passenger had attacked another passenger on the bus with a tire iron and then fled on foot.

On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a preview of the new Washington County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Training Center.

On Sunday, June 16, 2019, at 7:50 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the report of an attempted child abduction in the 15600 block of SW Blanton Street in Aloha. Detectives have released the attached composite sketch of the suspect.

On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at 8:06 am, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an armed robbery that had just occurred near the Rock Creek Apartments. While on the way to the call, deputies found out the suspect was riding a blue Honda sport bike and left the area on the bike. Deputies searched the area but did not locate the suspect.

On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office will begin targeting thieves who steal packages delivered to porches across the county.

On July 11, 2019, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office conducted a child predator sting where investigators posed on a variety of social media platforms and dating web sites as 15-year-old boys and girls.  The men contacted undercover deputies online and were arrested after arriving at a location where they believed they would be meeting a child in person for sex.

On June 26, 2019, deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for placing false ads on Craigslist to rent his mother’s home. Deputies started investigating Bradley Samuel Philan, 40, of Beaverton after family members called the Sheriff’s Office to report his crimes. Mr. Philan’s family had already reimbursed two separate victims more than $7,000 from the rental scams.

On Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a man entering a 7-year-old girl’s bedroom window at the Court Yards at Springville apartments. This is in the 17000 block of NW Springville Road in the Bethany area of unincorporated Washington County.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), and Oregon State Sheriff's Association (OSSA), will be conducting enhanced impaired driving patrols on Independence Day and the days surrounding the national holiday.

On June 23, 2019, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a complaint from a bicyclist who said a passing motorist tried to cut him with a knife while he was riding west on Northwest Hornecker Roa , near Northwest Leisy Road, in Unincorporated Washington County.

On Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at 5:02 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant related to a shooting that damaged a vehicle in the Rock Creek community in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 16.

On June 19, 2019, a Washington County Grand Jury indicted Adam Michael Wallace, age 39, on 19 felony charges related to the sexual abuse of underage males and luring minors online.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2019, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of a crash between a motorcycle and a truck. The crash took place on NW Cornelius Pass Road just north of NW West Union Road in unincorporated Washington County, near Hillsboro.

The statistics speak for themselves. In 2017, more than 10,000 people in the United States were killed in vehicle crashes where the occupants were not wearing seat belts, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). That’s why the Washington County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with NHTSA, Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), Oregon State Sheriff’s Association (OSAA), and law enforcement agencies across the state to promote proper seat belt use and increase public safety.

On Friday, May 31st, 2019, at 4:27 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an injury crash on SW Old Hwy 47 near SW Looking Glass Drive.  A man on a bicycle was struck by a car and seriously injured.

On May 28, 2019, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies were able to capture a wanted suspect from Columbia County.  Around 4:15 p.m., deputies were notified that Columbia City Police and Oregon State Police were pursuing a red Dodge Caravan with Alaska plates speeding down NW Logie Trail from Highway 30.

Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office will be providing extra patrols over the Memorial Day weekend to keep impaired drivers off the road.
