- Adjudication
You work in a two person nonpartisan team to review the votes on ballots that could not be counted by standard scanning procedures. You will review an image of the voted ballot.
Requirements:
- Sitting for long hours
- Comfortable with the use of a Windows PC
- Highly detail-oriented
- Team player
- Workers will not be partnered with family members or spouses
- Ballot Pickup Team
You work in a two person team (driver and rider) to pick up ballots from county drop sites and deliver them to the Elections office. Ballot pick-ups are required during the two weeks before Election Day, with a special need on Election Day.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs
- Drivers must have their own vehicle
- Must have a valid Oregon Driver's license
- Must be able to pass a DMV background check
- Workers will not be partnered with family members or spouses
- Proofing Teams
You work in a two-person nonpartisan team to review ballots, voter pamphlets, and other election-related material to ensure information is correct before it is published.
Requirements:
- Sitting for long hours
- Repetitive reading and copyediting
- Intense attention to detail
- Team player
- Workers will not be partnered with family members or spouses
- Ballot Sorter
You work as an assistant to the Ballot Sorter Operator helping to load and unload ballots from the ballot sorter machines. This is a physical and fast-paced role in a warehouse environment.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Must be able to work 8+ hours on your feet
- Able to work extended hours on Election Day ending after dark.
- Workers will not be partnered with family members or spouses
- Data Entry/Office Support
You will help our team keep our voter registration current. You may also be given other tasks such as helping to manage email inboxes, preparing ballots or other mailings, organizing and alphabetizing, or other tasks according to your unique abilities.

- Data entry skills

- Drop Site Worker
You work in a nonpartisan two person team (driver and rider) to collect ballots from a drop site at 8 PM Election Day. You will work approximately two hours on Election night.
Assignment includes:
- Close and lock up the drop site
- Deliver ballots and signs to the Elections office
Requirements:
- Drivers must have their own vehicle
- Must have a valid Oregon Driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a DMV background check
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs
- Workers will not be partnered with family members or spouses
- Election Board
Election board members work as part of a three member team opening and inspecting ballots. Board members will open, inspect, and prepare ballots to be counted. The work is not physically demanding, but is fast paced, repetitive and requires attention to detail. Board members may work for 4 or 5 days, up to 8 hours each day. On Election Day, you may work up to 14 hours and late into the evening.

You will work on a team and assist members of the public directly with issues relating to voter registration or ballots. This is a fast-paced and social position.

- Phone Bank
You will work on a team and assist members of the public with issues relating to voter registration, ballot fulfillment, or forward concerns to fulltime staff.

- Scanning
You will work on a team scanning ballots into the tabulation system.
Requirements:
- Proficient Windows PC user
- Intense attention to detail
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Workers will not be partnered with family members or spouses.
- Signature Verification
You will work on a team verifying the signatures on voted ballots. Compare images of signatures to determine if the ballot should be accepted or challenged.
Requirements:
- Complete Secretary of State provided training prior to election.
- Proficient Windows PC user
- Intense attention to detail
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Workers will not be partnered with family members or spouses.
- Voter Assistance Team
You work in two-person, nonpartisan teams to travel to locations such as assisted living homes and other care facilities to assist residents with voting a ballot, reading a Voters’ Pamphlet, registering to vote, and other tasks.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
- Drivers must have their own vehicle.
- Must have a valid Oregon Driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a DMV background check.
- Workers will not be partnered with family members or spouses.
- Will Call
You will work on a team and assist members of the public directly as they come to collect their ballot(s). Help voters quickly receive ballots without leaving their car.
