Washington County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a massage therapist for sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl. Detectives are concerned there could be additional victims.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office Child Abuse Detectives are offering a free training to parents and caregivers addressing the issue of child sex abuse.

Sheriff’s Office Child Abuse Detectives are searching for additional sex abuse victims following the arrest of a Bethany man. There are numerous victims identified.

On Friday, February 21, 2014, at about 10:41 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a disturbance at the El Tapatio Restaurant located at 18615 SW Farmington Road in the community of Aloha. People were calling 911 to report that a man was using a knife to threaten people in the restaurant.

The Three Flags Blitz continues. Deputies have issued over 75 seat belt citations, over 100 Mobile Communication Device citations, and noted numerous speeding violations.

Westside Interagency Narcotics (WIN) Detectives received the 2013 national award for Outstanding Marijuana Investigative Effort for their investigation into a large money laundering operation where marijuana was shipped across the nation for financial gain.

The Law Enforcement Council of Washington County has published a formal Position Statement on Medical Marijuana Dispensaries. In summary, the law enforcement leaders on the Council believe that proliferation of marijuana use and availability outside the scope of the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program is a serious public health concern and has negative implications for the welfare of our community.

Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting the Three Flags Seatbelt Blitz over the next two weeks. Beginning Monday February 10, 2014, law enforcement agencies from Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia will participate in a two-week campaign to encourage the use of hands free cell phone devices, seat belts and child safety restraints.
